Screw sorting machine ( PVSh)

              Screw sorting machine is designed for primary enrichment of the rock mass. Its operation is based on ensity difference between coal and rock. This difference can not be less than 100 kg/sm2. In this case almost full mechanization of separation process can be achieved.

Screw sorting machine includes a number of screws 1 and crushing members 2. The latter are hingedly connected to each other and are disposed above screws.


Screws are supported by front and rear supports that are fixed to the frame. All screws are cinematically connected to each other. Crushing members disposed above screws are hingedly supported on the axis 3 at the loading end, and at the discharge end they are supported on the leg fixed to the frame. Screw sorting machine is driven by two electric motors.   


Method for separating coal from rock


(for example, for size fractions 150 mm) 

Separating process is based on density difference between coal and rock and is performed in the following way: after completion the first stage of crushing rock mass with piece size up to 300 mm is fed onto the working area, where pieces 0–150 mm fall through the screen. Pieces 150–300 mm in size disposed on the working area contact with crushing members whereupon pieces of coal are being crushed and fall through the screen. When crushing members contact with the piece of rock they rotate about the hinge axis and let the piece of rock pass to the discharge end of the sorting machine.

In this way PVSh ensures an effective removal of rock from the supply of crushed material.
